A personal success becomes a meaningful contribution to the entire community. The human, social, and entrepreneurial legacy of the Lonati family evolves into a resource dedicated to education, solidarity, and culture.

The work of the past.

Fondazione Lonati, established in 2002 at the initiative of brothers Ettore, Fausto, and Tiberio, was created to honor the memory of their parents Adele and Cav. Francesco Lonati, a renowned and historic entrepreneur from Brescia and a key figure in the establishment of a global leadership in the production of hosiery machinery.
The Foundation operates in several fields: education, training, and technical-scientific development, with particular attention to the textile machinery sector, as well as culture, art, charitable initiatives, and socially beneficial activities, with a special focus on the elderly and children.
Fondazione Lonati provides substantial support to numerous non-profit organizations and institutions engaged in social, healthcare, and welfare projects.

The initiative

Fondazione Lonati supports a wide range of activities in education, culture, scientific research, as well as healthcare and social assistance. Its primary focus is on children, young people, and the elderly, aiming at inclusion, personal development, and well-being. It is an ongoing effort over time that combines the institution’s founding values with a deep sense of responsibility toward society.

Growing together are two words that express the essence of Fondazione Lonati, created to honor those who have always embraced this ideal. Cavaliere Francesco Lonati and his wife Adele shared success and development, both within the family and in business, working alongside others and drawing on their cultural heritage with strength to invest in seriousness, commitment, hard work, and the pursuit of a better future for all.
Following this vision of shared development, Fondazione Lonati is dedicated both to advanced technical training in the textile sector—its core field of reference—and to charitable initiatives focused on assistance and solidarity, with particular attention to the needs of children, the elderly, and the most vulnerable members of society.

Local solidarity.

Contributions across every sector.

Fondazione Lonati supports those in need and disadvantaged individuals, allocating funds to emergency situations and welfare organizations. It is also committed to promoting performances, concerts, festivals, exhibitions, and the restoration of important historical assets, helping to preserve and strengthen the community’s artistic and cultural heritage.
In the healthcare sector—public, private, and academic—it dedicates significant resources to research, prevention, and the treatment of serious diseases. Recognizing the importance of respect for the elderly, it prioritizes continuous investment in solidarity projects dedicated to them.
The Foundation also focuses on young people through education, vocational training, prevention, and information initiatives, while supporting organizations engaged in childcare, foster care, and the protection of minors, maintaining a long-term commitment to collective well-being.
