Research and technological development: Lonati focuses its efforts on cutting-edge processes and materials, delivering the highest quality at competitive costs. The most flexible technologies for the endless creative possibilities of fashion.

Technological and
market leader.

The products of the Lonati Group are now a dominant presence in the textile machinery sector: almost the entire global production of women’s socks, 60% of men’s and children’s hosiery, 90% of sportswear and seamless garments, and 60% of classic and traditional knitwear.
By acquiring historic brands in Italy and abroad, developing new technologies, and pursuing constant global expansion, the Lonati Group has brought Brescia’s industrial traditions to unprecedented results. And it is precisely these roots that continue to inspire the Group with energy and determination.

Innovation as a passion.

The Lonati Group generates 90% of its annual turnover in international markets, with exports reaching every region of the world. Lonati machines are successful in all emerging countries, without exception. Turkey is one of the main markets, as much of European production has been relocated there, while other fast-growing markets include the emerging economies of India and Pakistan. China remains one of the most promising areas and, thanks to extraordinary economic development, represents an unprecedented customer base, pushing the Lonati Group to face the challenge of designing increasingly innovative solutions to compete in a highly competitive environment.
With a commercial network covering more than 70 countries, the Group maintains extremely high service standards, consistent with its corporate image, which—beyond excellence in product quality—also ensures equally impeccable external relations.
The Lonati Group thus confirms itself as a solid reality of the Brescia economy, earning a leading role not only at national level, but also across Europe and worldwide.

Logo Santoni

Santoni was founded in 1919, becoming the very first Italian company to produce sock knitting machines, and in 1989 it became part of the Lonati Group. Thanks to an intuition by Tiberio Lonati, SANTONI is the undisputed leader in the production of electronic circular knitting machines for “seamless” garments, and it satisfies 97% of the global demand for seamlesswear machines across various apparel sectors: underwear, sportswear, beachwear, outerwear, and medical wear, extending to its recent expansion into outerwear knitwear.
Since 2018, the footwear sector has also been introduced, with the production of circular knitting machines for manufacturing shoe uppers. It also boasts an internal training center, the SANTONI SCHOOL, dedicated to educating technicians and operators in both hardware and software technologies.
